CAD Drafter

Position Summary:

Utilize drafting software to prepare technical drawings for shielding-related products.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide computer-aided design (CAD) drafting, preparing drawings and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches.
• Utilize computer-aided drafting software and other techniques, standards, and tools to prepare technical drawings.
• Coordinate and consult with engineers or designers to complete projects.
• Transform initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software.
• Review engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
• Collaborate with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and to interact with all levels of employees and management.
• Technical writing skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Inventor or similar drafting software.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Drafting & Design or equivalent work experience.
• 2 or more years of related experience.
