Job title:  Clinical Manager

Reports to:  CEO/d ALM of SunnySide Manor Communities

Job purpose

The Clinical Manager serves by ensuring the health and well-being of each Resident is supported according to the company standard of kindness, quality, and excellence. This role works closely with the ALM, and other medical providers to manage the daily health needs of the residents of SunnySide Manor Communities.

Responsibilities

  • · Oversee daily clinic operations
  • · Manage medical inventory, and ensure necessary supplies are ordered
  • · Train new employees on treatments and medication management for SSMC
  • · Submit suggested policies and procedure changes for approval
  • · Implement changes within your work scope area and ensure all changes are communicated to the staff. 
  • · Track and monitor adherence to company processes
  • · Complete routine performance and medical skills testing of staff
  • · Ensure each facility-the company- is compliant with all State of Maryland and or Federal regulations for our industry
  • · Be a liaison to all medical providers; internal and external
  • · Work with Delegating Nurse for timely and accurate completion of assessments according to regulatory schedule
  • · Manage and supervise the admission and discharge processes
  • · Build rapport with each Resident to better understand and meet their needs
  • · Update patient medical records in iCare Manager/company software

Qualifications & Skills

  • · Proficient user of technology including MS Office, email, etc
  • · Strong interpersonal skills.
  • · Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
  • · Ability to multi-task, manage time well and meet deadlines
  • · An analytical thinker who can make decisions objectively
  • · Able to lead and motivate a team confidently
  • · Knowledge of medical terminology and provincial/territorial and federal regulations
  • · Able to create monthly reports and presentations for leadership
  • · Demonstrated understanding of appropriate patient care, ethics, and confidentiality laws

Education & Experience

  • · RN/BSN with 2-3 years experience in a healthcare environment
  • · Healthcare related degree with 3 -5 years of healthcare experience
  • · Prior Nursing Home or Rehab experience
  • · Customer Service expert and able to demonstrate leadership capabilities
  • · CPR & Adult First Aid, physical and background check required

 

Salary & Benefits:

  1. Compensation $21k- $31K – based on a 20hour week; commensurate with qualification & experience
  2. 2 weeks paid time off annually
  3. Retirement IRA participation after 6 months
