We seek a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Mortgage Compliance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure that the company adheres to all external regulatory requirements and internal policies and that all mortgage lending activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations and internal policies and procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of the mortgage industry, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices.

• Monitor and review mortgage lending processes to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including RESPA, TILA, ECOA, etc.
• Conduct audits and assessments of loan files and processes to identify potential compliance issues.
• Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and training programs for staff.
• Stay up-to-date with mortgage regulations and industry standards changes and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.
• Serve as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and facilitate examinations and audits.
• Collaborate with legal and risk management teams to address compliance concerns and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare reports and documentation for management and regulatory bodies.
• Provide guidance and support to loan officers and staff on compliance-related inquiries and best practices.
• Participate in industry seminars and training to enhance knowledge of compliance issues.
• Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk.
• Create and deliver training programs to educate employees on compliance requirements, company policies, and potential risks.
• Prepare reporting for senior management and regulatory bodies. Ensure timely filing of all necessary compliance reports and documents.
• Atten compliance conferences as needed to stay current with all changes.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager, Mortgage Compliance Certification).
• Experience with mortgage origination systems and related technologies.
• Minimum three years of current experience as a Compliance Officer within the mortgage industry
• Nonqm experience is a huge plus.
