SSNW is seeking a full-time Dispatch Manager for our corporate headquarters in Sequim, WA.

  • Dispatchers monitor burglary, fire, and medical alarms for hundreds of customers, 24/7
  • Dispatch alarms to the appropriate agency
  • Answer phones, take messages, and dispatch calls for answering service customers
  • Perform a variety of computer tasks and other office duties
  • Answer after-hour calls for multiple PUD's

Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities

  • Trains dispatcher staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of dispatch staff.

Routine Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain contact with clients and keep protocols up to date.
  • Train incoming employees.
  • Take calls when needed.
  • Schedule the employees within the department.
  • Administrative duties.
  • Cover callouts within the department if needed.
  • Make outbound calls to bring in new clients.
  • Answer questions that the reps have.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities/Background

  • Must be able to observe situations and make appropriate responses.
  • Must be available 24/7 (answer after hour calls from staff, assist with alarms/ outages/ any issues that may come up after hours)
  • Must be able to work with speed.
  • Excellent supervisory skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with confidential information.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Must be able to pass an office efficiency checklist:
    1. Typing test - 40 WPM minimum
    2. Take sample calls with messages, dispatch call
    3. send email, fax, etc...
    4. Navigate between screens
    5. Put calls on hold, transfer calls
    6. Excel, Word, Microsoft 365

Shift :

  • 10-hour shift
  • Swing shift
  • Day shift
  • Night shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
  • Holidays

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • Dispatch/ Call Center: 2+ years (Preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Extensive periods of standing and sitting.
  • Must be able to lift twenty-five (25) pounds at a time.

Ability to commute:

  • Sequim, WA 98382: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
