Job Description

Who is Credible?

We are a marketplace where users can compare personalized, prequalified rates and quotes from multiple lenders and carriers, for student loans, mortgages, personal loans, and insurance.

We're challenging the status quo by giving power to the consumer. We believe in a world where 'ethical', 'lending', and 'insurance' can coexist, so we set out to build innovative platforms that actually work for customers. Our mission is to help people find the best loan or insurance policy possible.

We believe researching and buying loans or insurance shouldn't be confusing or complex, so we've focused on simplicity. We've created the only unbiased loan and insurance buying process out there, which makes finding options straightforward and clear.

About the role:

Credible is looking for a driven and organized Editorial Assistant to join our Content and SEO team. You will be a core contributor to our content strategy and help consumers make better financial decisions.

You're a great fit if you:

  • Appreciate the role content plays in guiding readers' financial decisions
  • Are interested in understanding how readers engage with editorial content
  • Are reliable and respectful
  • A self-starter - you take initiative and work well independently
  • Eager to work in a dynamic start-up environment where opportunity for ownership and impact is significant
  • Seeking to learn all aspects of the editorial process and aspire to launch a career in content marketing

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and tracking writer assignments using our content management system
  • Owning all publishing tasks (formatting posts in our CMS, creating and/or adding images/charts/visuals/HTML tables, etc.)
  • Ensuring required disclosures and compliance measures are applied to new and existing content
  • Maintaining and enhancing content procedure documentation for our team
  • Making updates to published articles in the CMS
  • Assisting our editorial team with administrative and research tasks as needed

You must have:

  • At least 2 years of experience working with a content management system (experience in financial services or fintech is a plus)
  • A bachelor's degree
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail, organization, and strong project management skills
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities and a desire to learn new skills

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Experience with on-page analytics
  • Familiarity with Looker (pulling and analyzing reports)
  • Experience with basic HTML and CSS

Credible is open to hiring candidates in the following locations: Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin
