As our Grant Writer you'll be at the forefront of driving ASAC's impact by securing vital funding for our transformative programs. This isn't just a job - it's a chance to be a catalyst for change and make a lasting difference in people's lives.
Some of your main duties would be to:
- Research funding opportunities that align with ASAC's mission, vision, strategic plan, and programs, staying informed about trends and identifying new opportunities.
- Write and submit grant proposals and renewals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documents, ensuring all guidelines and requirements are met.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information for proposals, translating program goals and outcomes into compelling narratives.
- Develop accurate and realistic budgets in collaboration with the finance department, ensuring financial aspects align with funder requirements.
- Manage deadlines for applications, submissions, and reporting schedules, ensuring timely submission of all required documents.
- Prepare and submit grant reports ensuring compliance with funder's guidelines.
- Provide support and guidance to staff in the development of program-specific funding strategies.
- Monitor the progress of funded projects to ensure they meet intended goals and outcomes, reporting on the impact and effectiveness of grant-funded programs.
- Build and maintain relationships with past, current and future grant funders, including foundations, corporations, and government agencies. Attend meetings, webinars, and conferences to stay updated on funding trends and opportunities.
- Maintain detailed records of grant applications, awarded grants, and communications, managing a database of grant opportunities and tracking the status of applications.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who has:
- A bachelor's degree in English, Communication, Non-Profit Management, or a related field
- 3-5 years of successful grant writing experience and can turn complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives
- Experience with grant management software and CRM systems
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
